Temple blessings
By loving wife

I went to the temple tonight and came home feeling a mixture of sadness and resolve: sadness for the loss of love and spirituality that is happening in my marriage; resolve to do what I need to do to break the cycle of codependency that has been a part of my life since my childhood (alcoholic father). For the first time in my life I added my own name to the prayer roll.

I came home in a melancholy mood but found my husband sitting at the kitchen table reading a conference talk! He gave me a big hug and said how good it felt to have me home.

There is hope. There is love. The temple blesses even struggling marriages like mine.

"What a great story. I'm sorry for the sadness, but the rest of the story is great and it is touching. Thanks for sharing."

I tell you if I did the same thing as your husband...

Wives who find hope
"Wives who are able to see hope through the pain that we have caused give me hope too.

Loving Wife, you are indeed just that. The Lord will bless you for your faith in your trials.

Rugga, I continue to pray for you and your family. I love you brother."
