Step 2 - Action Step — Believe in God the Eternal Father and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost
With this wonderful holiday at our doorsteps, lets all commit or recommit to keeping our journal of thankfulness. Our Grateful Journal! Everyday list at least 5 things you are thankful for. This is a wonderful recovery tool.

My Favorite Hymn: Count Your Blessings:

When upon life's billows you are tempest-tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings; name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord has done.

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings; ev'ry doubt will fly,
And you will be singing as the days go by. Blog

When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you his wealth untold.
Count your many blessings; money cannot buy
Your reward in heaven nor your home on high.

So amid the conflict, whether great or small,
Do not be discouraged; God is over all.
Count your many blessings; angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey's end.

Count your blessings;
Name them one by one.
Count your blessings;
See what God hath done.
Count your blessings;
Name them one by one.
Count your many blessings;
See what God hath done.

Love and Prayers to you all and my you fill your bellies with turkey and pie.

Thanks, I needed this!
"I read this hymn and started to cry. My first thought is that I don't have any blessings right now, but then I realized that I do. I have this blog and all of you, and if that were all then I would be a very blessed person indeed. Another big one for me is that last week I found out that my youngest has normal hearing in his right ear. Since birth (and he'll be 1 on Sunday) they have not been able to get results from his right ear, but finally when they did the test last Friday they got good results. That I have too very sweet boys is also a huge blessing (even if being a single parent to them is sometimes a huge stress.

Anyways, it's hard for me to see them right now, but there are blessings in my life. Thanks for getting me to look at those."

"The solution to this problem ultimately is neither governmental nor institutional. Nor is it a question of legality. It is a matter of individual choice and commitment. Agency must be understood. The importance of the will in making crucial choices must be known. Then steps toward relief can follow."
