I'm struggling a bit right now. It's been a day of phone calls to attorneys and the police, and an emotional email to my ex's parents. I'm a bit tempted. It's past time for bed, but I don't want to go to bed feeling like this and make a bad choice, so here I am blogging about it. Maybe I'll say my evening prayers down here and then see how I feel about going upstairs to bed.

Hang in there
"Sister D,

I hope you were able to sleep well. I am so sorry you have to go through so much. It will get harder before it gets better. I know this because I am in the middle of harder.

You are crossing the plains of these latter days. You are having to protect your children with everything you have. Just keep moving forward. Just as in Lehi's dream, hold to the rod, stay on the path. When darkness rears it's ugly head, hold tighter.

You can do this!!!

Our Heavenly Father loves you more than you will ever imagine.

You are in my prayers

Thanks Angel
"I prayed downstairs and then went up to bed. I got to sleep fine, and I'm feeling better this morning. Protecting my children isn't always easy, but I know it's important to do what I can, and part of that is being as healthy as I can be. I can't control their fathers, I can only do what I can to minimize the negative impact their dads have on them, but I can do everything I can to work on myself and make myself the best mom possible. It's not easy, but those 11 month smiles and 8 year old I love you moms are well worth it. Plus I remind myself that I'll never find them a healthy dad if I'm not healthy. Now for another successful day."

"YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!! What helps me is I remember that Satan has the power to bruise my heel but I have the power to crush his head! So every time I feel tempted I just crush his head!!!! (I picture it also, that helps!)"

"Just as the landfill requires dedicated work and attention, laboriously applying layer after layer of fill to reclaim the low-lying ground, our lives also require the same vigilance, continually applying layer after layer of the healing gift of repentance.…Our Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ, feel sorrow when we choose to remain in sin, when the gift of repentance made possible through the Atonement can clean, reclaim, and sanctify our lives. When we gratefully accept and use this precious gift, we can enjoy the beauty and usefulness of our lives... "
