feeling good

I have been feeling really good lately. There's something about recommitting that makes life so wonderful. I haven't "acted out" or anything lately, I just have felt the urge to recommit to doing some important things in my life, like service, scripture reading, and personnel prayer.

Developing a relationship with the Lord has been much easier the last few weeks because I have been focusing on doing these things. I feel like step three is MUCH easier when I keep a constant "wireless" connection open with my Father in Heaven.

My self esteem has greatly improved as well. I credit this to a friend telling me to say good things to myself in the mirror AND also to my Father in Heaven for reminding me that I am his daughter. If he can love me, I can love.

Blessing to you all, Happy Thanksgiving.

Good Timing!
"I'm so grateful that you posted this when you did. I had decided to give in and go to some bad websites last night, but I decided to come here first and see if anyone had posted something that could help me come to my senses. This was EXACTLY what I needed to read! I wonder if it was just a coincidence that you decided to post here last night?

After reading this blog along with the responses you posted for me on some other blogs, I decided to go hiking instead of acting out. Even though it was dark and cold and my car almost got booted for being in a city park after eleven, I'm sure that hiking was a lot more satisfying than acting out would have been.

Recommitting is amazing because it let's us become born again in a spiritual sense. I'm so glad that you decided to recommit instead of giving up after your last post a few weeks ago. I was worried about you.

I'm on day 17, and even though I'm not doing as well as I was when I posted my, "feel so happy" blog, I'm rolling with the punches and trying to find serenity. Thanks for the concern, I'm determined to recommit my life to the Lord and make today a better day than yesterday."

good job
"Nice job Ette! Hiking really is more productive.

I haven't posted here for a while so it really means a lot to me that my post helped you out. I'm sorry things aren't going as well as you want them to be going, but don't give up. Heavenly Father loves you and knows what you are going through. Don't let satan discourage you, always remember that you are a child of God and he wants you to succeed.

best wishes"

"Don’t live your life in despair, feeling sorry for yourself because of the mistakes you have made. Let the sunshine in by doing the right things—now. It may be difficult to begin, but pick up the scriptures and immerse yourself in them. Look for favorite passages. Lean on the Master’s teachings, on His servants’ testimonies. Refresh your parched soul with the word of God. The scriptures will give you comfort and the strength to overcome. "
