I saw this at the gym yesterday: 'positive thoughts are a thousand times stronger than negative thoughts'

Take a minute to think about that...

Anyone else have some motivational thoughts to share?! I think we could all use some positive reinforcement!!

So true!
"I believe our thoughts are infinitely stronger than our bodies, which could be part of the reason why you saw that quote at the gym. When you get right down to it, our bodies aren't much more than a collection of carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen; we really are only the dust of the earth. The conscience is what makes us exist.

I came across a similar quote the other day in the Bhagavad-Gita: "For him who has conquered the mind, the mind is the best of friends; but for one who has failed to do so, his mind will remain the greatest enemy." This has definitely proven true in my attempts to recover.

Thanks for sharing, Ireland, that quote is awesome!"

Thank you!!
"I'm really glad you posted this today. I woke up from a horrible nightmare...and have been having a VERY hard time shaking the 'negative thoughts' in my head. As I tried to think of something 'positive' to write...not much was coming to me. Then I saw the Verse of the Day...

Enos 1:12
And it came to pass that after I had prayed and labored with all diligence, the Lord said unto me: I will grant unto thee according to thy desires, because of thy faith.

I thought I would give it a try...I prayed that I might have help getting rid of these 'negative thoughts' and I actually feel much more positive. Usually I just cry my eyes out until I'm dehydrated...and that still might be waiting for you when you get home from work :) but taking the time to plead with my Heavenly Father for 'positive thoughts' has helped me so much. I'm actually quite stunned at how much better I already feel. Positive is all around us...thanks for the reminder. "

"In a decaying environment, the mind is the last redoubt of righteousness, and it must be preserved even amid bombardment by evil stimuli. Christ is competent to see us through, “for in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted” As promised, He will make either “a way to escape” or a way “to bear it”."

— Neal A. Maxwell
