2 Nephi 10:24
Wherefore, my bleoved bretheren, reconcile yourselves to the will of God, and not to the will of the devil and the flesh; and remember, after ye are reconciled unt God, that i is only in and through the grace of God that ye are saved.

When I want something that I cannot have it is because I am at odds with God. It is because I have not surrendered. It is amazing that he will eventually relent in most cases but I will find the emptiness and the wisdom on the other side of the door.

It is his direction that can allow me to act confidently in my choices, the fear is removed when I have faith that he will send me guidance, the Lord will not leave my side he will offer his constant companionship if I embrace the fear and allow the faith to ask and act on his will.

"The excuse is given that it is hard to avoid, that it is right at our fingertips and there is no escape. Suppose a storm is raging and the winds howl and the snow swirls about you. You find yourself unable to stop it. But you can dress properly and seek shelter, and the storm will have no effect upon you. Likewise, even though the Internet is saturated with material, you do not have to watch it. You can retreat to the shelter of the gospel and its teaching of cleanliness and virtue and purity of life.
