2 Nephi 4 16
Behold, my soul delighteth in the things of the Lord; and my heart pondereth continually up

19- Nd when I desire to rejoice, my heart groaneth because of my sins; nevertheless, I know in whom I have trusted.

I have always loved this verse of scriptures, it has been the role of the leaders of the church both ancient and present to always be very real, and very much in a leadership position. I would not be appropriate and would be faith damaging to hear a prophet talk to all their details shared behind the doors of bishopric interviews.
This verse is neat because we see the struggle. The eyes of Nephi are so open to the greatness and Glory of God, and Jesus Christ, yet with this they are open to his own nature.
I know that Nephi has a deep relationship with the Savior and total confidence in the repentance process is given here.
It is an example, it gives me courage, I am not alone, even those who we look up to and place on such high petestools have fallen. There they have found the pathway I know I must continuously travel on to overcome through the atonement their natures.

"Don’t live your life in despair, feeling sorry for yourself because of the mistakes you have made. Let the sunshine in by doing the right things—now. It may be difficult to begin, but pick up the scriptures and immerse yourself in them. Look for favorite passages. Lean on the Master’s teachings, on His servants’ testimonies. Refresh your parched soul with the word of God. The scriptures will give you comfort and the strength to overcome. "
