Truly searching for recovery. I am over a month sober now. Today has been tough. Triggers are popping up everywhere. I am praying for protection now and surrendering. Time to meditate.

You deserve God's love
"When struggling with triggers it is often difficult to realize that you are a good person. I know I have a hard time believing that when I struggle. However, when I'm healthy and feeling closer to the Spirit it seems so obvious. You are a child of God. He does not make junk. You have infinite worth, and your presence on this message board looking for assistance is indicative of good intentions. You are a good person. Don't listen to anything the adversary may lie to you about suggesting anything otherwise. Hang in there. Like you, I'm praying for just another 24 hours of sobriety. I'm praying for you too. ??"

"The Savior teaches that we will have tribulation in the world, but we should "be of good cheer" because He has "overcome the world". His Atonement reaches and is powerful enough not only to pay the price for sin but also to heal every mortal affliction… He knows of our anguish, and He is there for us. Like the good Samaritan in His parable, when He finds us wounded at the wayside, He binds up our wounds and cares for us. Brothers and sisters, the healing power of His Atonement is for you, for us, for all. "

— Dallin H. Oaks
