Truly searching for recovery. I am over a month sober now. Today has been tough. Triggers are popping up everywhere. I am praying for protection now and surrendering. Time to meditate.

You deserve God's love
"When struggling with triggers it is often difficult to realize that you are a good person. I know I have a hard time believing that when I struggle. However, when I'm healthy and feeling closer to the Spirit it seems so obvious. You are a child of God. He does not make junk. You have infinite worth, and your presence on this message board looking for assistance is indicative of good intentions. You are a good person. Don't listen to anything the adversary may lie to you about suggesting anything otherwise. Hang in there. Like you, I'm praying for just another 24 hours of sobriety. I'm praying for you too. ??"

"Each one who resolves to climb that steep road to recovery must gird up for the fight of a lifetime. But a lifetime is a prize well worth the price. This challenge uniquely involves the will, and the will can prevail. Healing doesn’t come after the first dose of any medicine. So the prescription must be followed firmly, bearing in mind that it often takes as long to recover as it did to become ill. But if made consistently and persistently, correct choices can cure. "
