Stopping in.......

It's been some time since I said anything.......got a job, even though I was tremendously overqualified, I started at the bottom and moved quickly into a position of responsibility.....although far below what I have been accustomed to for the past 27 years. BOA is trying to negotiate a short sale....I have pretty much exhausted all the maneuvering I can do. They will forgive the debt and give me moving money to do it. My parents and our family home was sold this week, and that notion has been extremely difficult. That house has been a comfort, knowing it was there, even though my father hasn't lived in it for some years now.

Had only one slip and that was 8 months ago. My teeth were hurting so badly that I needed to do something. An old roommate had left some alcohol in my cupboard, and the pain was beyond Tylenol and aspirin. I went to the emergency room the next day and they gave me some penicillin to clear up the infection I apparently had. I didn't want to do it......but there has been nothing since.....and no cravings ever.

I wonder where this is all going to end. I'm tired of being alone.....and tired of spinning my wheels.....

"Hi Nickwyo, I am Davec38. I read what you posted and am just wondering if you have support in your ward or with friends who are members of the church? I know how painful a tooth ache is, gosh, when you have a tooth ache, your whole body hurts. I don't deal well with pain either. Have you read D&C 122:7, one of my favorite verses in times of need. Hope it helps, and hope you are feeling better soon. DaveC38"

"Freedom from your transgression will come through sincere faith, true repentance, willing obedience, and the giving of self. Why the giving of self? Because selfishness is at the root of your problem. Where selfishness and transgression flourish, the Spirit of the Lord can’t enter your life to bless you. To succeed, you must conquer your selfishness. When your beacon is focused on self, it does little more than blind your vision. When turned outward through acts of kindness and love, it will light your path to happiness and peace. "
