Inspiration I really needed today.

“There is no habit, no addiction, no rebellion, no crime exempted
from the promise of complete forgiveness."

Boyd K. Packer, “The Brilliant Morning of Forgiveness,” Ensign, Nov. 1995

How wonderful and powerful that is. It gave me chills and warmth at the same time. I often fall into the trap that " I am worthless and that my wife and kids would be better off without me. I am worthless. I can never be forgiven for what I have done. My wife is right to hate me."

But above we see how we can be forgiven and that those things, those anchors of sin that I have unwillingly clung to can be dropped and I can be washed clean. Yes, I can be clean. I guess I need to take the above and remember that whenever I start to have those feelings. To all the Mother's out there. Happy Mother's Day with all my heart.

"I love this article. It too has brought me a sense of love and peace throughout my journey. Thank you for reminding me we all have the ability and opportunity to receive and experience forgiveness."

"By emulating the Master, who endured temptations but “gave no heed unto them,” we, too, can live in a world filled with temptations “such as [are] common to man”. Of course Jesus noticed the tremendous temptations that came to him, but He did not process and reprocess them. Instead, He rejected them promptly. If we entertain temptations, soon they begin entertaining us! Turning these unwanted lodgers away at the doorstep of the mind is one way of giving “no heed.” Besides, these would-be lodgers are actually barbarians who, if admitted, can be evicted only with great trauma."
