Step 1 - Key Principle — Admit that you, of yourself, are powerless to overcome your addictions and that your life has become unmanageable.
Yes, once again I masturbated. I've tried and tried to avoid it but a month or so passes and i fall again. I just need help. I need the help of God and others. I've been working with my bishop and he has assisted but i need others to be accountable to, a way that i can actually talk about my successes and failures with on a daily basis. to all who read this, please help.

"I suggest finding a sponsor and support group. It really does help to have someone there to be accountable to. We are always here for you as well. You can overcome this."

Get a Group...
"Agree with above comment. Read Donald Hilton's book, "He Restoreth My Soul"...In it he talks about how hard it is to quit without the structure of a group and the 12 steps.
I attend group every week without fail and it gives me strength. The more distance you can put between your last MB, the easier it will get. The group is a great place filled with great people like you who struggle. You need tools to get you past triggers. Recovery is a journey not a destination. Start counting days if it helps. This is a win-able war!"

"Hey, you've realized an important step in becoming free, admiting that your powerless. You know there is a saying, "The last to discover water is a fish." Soooo many people who struggle with this live in denial, like my dad for instance. OR, people who try to quit don't realize that their basically breathing in water and slowly, metaphorically speaking, are drowning in it. We need God & others to help pull us out onto dry land, so we can breath and see clearly.
If you want to someone to talk to about, literally, anything. Related or unrelated to your progress, then here's my email, I try to check it 3 to 4 times a week. Godbless you my friend :)"

"Just as the landfill requires dedicated work and attention, laboriously applying layer after layer of fill to reclaim the low-lying ground, our lives also require the same vigilance, continually applying layer after layer of the healing gift of repentance.…Our Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ, feel sorrow when we choose to remain in sin, when the gift of repentance made possible through the Atonement can clean, reclaim, and sanctify our lives. When we gratefully accept and use this precious gift, we can enjoy the beauty and usefulness of our lives... "
