my friend turned in her mission papers but had a date night with her bf and he touched her inappropriately and shes scared she wont be able to serve her mission..any advice please?? shes my best friend and i dont know what to say to her.

Go to the bishop.
"Many missionaries (I have many friends who have told me so) after turning in their papers have felt guilt over things that happened in their relationships. They went to the Bishop and talked to him and he helped them. Often it wasn't anything to postpone their mission but you can't serve the Lord to your full potential until you heal the guilt and pain. That comes with being honest and confessing. The Bishop will be able to help her to put it in the past, become new, and feel worthy again to preach the Gospel."

"I have come to know that thoughts, like water, will stay on course if we make a place for them to go. Otherwise, our thoughts follow the course of least resistance, always seeking the lower levels. Probably the greatest challenge and the most difficult thing you will face in mortal life is to learn to control your thoughts. In the Bible it says, as a man ‘thinketh in his heart, so is he’ (Prov. 23:7). One who can control his thoughts has conquered himself. As you learn to control your thoughts, you can overcome habits, even degrading personal habits. You can gain courage, conquer fear, and have a happy life. "
