Why not?

Why not? I'm worthless anyway.

Wrong. You are loved.
"“Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God;

“For, behold, the Lord your Redeemer suffered death in the flesh; wherefore he suffered the pain of all men, that all men might repent and come unto him” (D&C 18:10–11.)

We all feel worthless sometimes. Everyone on this site, and probably everyone not on this site. But we are all wrong when we feel that way.

Now matter how battered a $20 bill is, you wouldn't throw it away. Its value is not in its looks. Similarly, our value is not in the things that we sometimes think make someone worthwhile. Our value is that we are God's children and he loves us.

I have 3 daughters. If any of them ever felt worthless, I would be devastated. I love them so much.

Your FATHER in heaven loves you infinitely more than that.

Have you seen the video "The Touch of the Master's Hand"? Check it out."

"NOT TRUE, NOT TRUE, NOT TRUE! You are not worthless, I am not worthless, no one that uses this blog forum is worthless. I agree with the 1st comment completely, by the way.
And this is what Elder Dallin Oaks said,
"The Savior teaches that we will have tribulation in the world, but we should "be of good cheer" because He has "overcome the world". His Atonement reaches and is powerful enough not only to pay the price for sin but also to heal every mortal affliction… He knows of our anguish, and He is there for us. Like the good Samaritan in His parable, when He finds us wounded at the wayside, He binds up our wounds and cares for us. Brothers and sisters, the healing power of His Atonement is for you, for us, for all. "
— Dallin H. Oaks General Conference October 2006
At the moment that your fingers typed those keys & every time that you are down, The Savior KNOWS how you are feeling because He felt it too. You are NOT ALONE, YOU ARE NOT WORTHLESS. If you were the only person on the Planet, The Savior would have gone through the Atonement just for you! He loves you, Heavenly Father loves you. Let their love in. If you were worthless, then why is the adversary working so hard to take you down? Because you are quite valuable to The Lords plan. Keep fighting. Reread this over and over again until you believe that your soul is of great worth.

YMIR, anytime, man, anytime
"that you want to talk, contact me at: I can give you my phone number, etc., we can talk over things. You are not only exceedingly important to Heavenly Father, you are important to me.

I know I'm just an old guy (60 years old), but I've spent a lot of time with young people (taught college at BYU Provo, and a couple of other universities around the country), been a scoutmaster, and so forth. Most of all, I never grew up so I really understand young people, because I'm one of you.

And it doesn't matter to me what religious beliefs you have or don't have, the only thing that matters to me is that you have feelings. And I hate to see someone feeling down.

Please contact me or one of the others who have given their email addresses to you, or contact all of us. I don't like to put my email address out there because you don't know how many spammers or hackers are lurking this site, so write it down and contact me, because I might remove the address in a few days for security's sake.

God bless you, would love to hear from you."

"The solution to this problem ultimately is neither governmental nor institutional. Nor is it a question of legality. It is a matter of individual choice and commitment. Agency must be understood. The importance of the will in making crucial choices must be known. Then steps toward relief can follow."
