Day 16 without a drink. Doing all the "do things", but still feeling crazy as an outhouse rat. Keep "thomas" in your prayers. Thanks.

I will pray
"I will pray for you.

In all of your doing are you giving your whole heart and soul, all of the good and bad to Christ?Lean on him. You do not need to do this alone. He will hold you through this challenge. His grace will see you through."

Prayers out!
"Sending one your way right now! Seriously, what a short, awesome, honest post. Our ARP missionary has been sober for 26 year from alcohol and he says things just like "Crazy as an outhouse rat" all the time. He also says, "Everything's alright, but we just don't know it yet." I am not 100% sure what that means, but I love it when he says it. Sometimes when things get rough I tell myself, "everything's alright" over and over. The atonement has been made. Everything's alright. Hang in there man!"

"I have come to know that thoughts, like water, will stay on course if we make a place for them to go. Otherwise, our thoughts follow the course of least resistance, always seeking the lower levels. Probably the greatest challenge and the most difficult thing you will face in mortal life is to learn to control your thoughts. In the Bible it says, as a man ‘thinketh in his heart, so is he’ (Prov. 23:7). One who can control his thoughts has conquered himself. As you learn to control your thoughts, you can overcome habits, even degrading personal habits. You can gain courage, conquer fear, and have a happy life. "
