The Leaders of the Church are Amazing

I had the opportunity to meet Sis. Dalton (the General Young Women's President) today. I shook her hand, gave her a hug, told her she was awesome, gave her a high five, and talked to her about how the future is bright. She looked into my eyes and told me that I can do great things. It was the most incredible experience. Because she is my role model. She is so close to the Spirit. I felt at peace and I didn't feel uncomfortable. I used to feel uncomfortable when I would go to church and I was still living that way. It has only been 46 days of sobriety but it has been 46 days of prayer, the scriptures, learning from the prophets, ARP, meetings with the bishop, and almost daily visits to the temple grounds. Now even visits to the temple. I can do hard things. I can do great things. I can do all things through Christ.

congrats of 46 days!!!
"keep it up. . Its a big deal!! I remember when I only had 40 days and I was explaining to the stk president how big of a deal it was for me and he was looking at me like are you nuts? but he gave me encouragement...

My sponsor tells me that the longest we can ever have sobriety is 24 hours.. one day.. our job is to string together a whole bunch of one days..

Hopefully, you are getting better at recognize the precursor feelings you get before you get tempted and act out. that you are getting better at change paths before you are too far down to flee.

may you find peace!"

Loved her talk about Fathers and Daughters
"I was listening to her talk and thinking that my husband can feel good about the changes he has made in his life, as he follows his Savior. My heart was warm with peace as she spoke about Dads taking their daughters to the Temple, and about loving their wives. I could not always say this about my husband, but I can now. I am happy for him and the changes he is making.

Recovery is possible. A better life is possible. With God, nothing is impossible!!!!!

"[The Savior] is saying to us, "Trust me, learn of me, do what I do. Then, when you walk where I am going," He says, "we can talk about where you are going, and the problems you face and the troubles you have. If you will follow me, I will lead you out of darkness," He promises. "I will give you answers to your prayers. I will give you rest to your souls.""
